The Greensboro Grapevine
An epic game of artistic telephone
In three "volumes" - Telephone, Chain Reaction, and Metamorphoses, each beginning with a locally sourced piece of art (a song, three drinks, and a sculpture in motion) I curated an experiment to connect artists in (mis)communication across six fields in Greensboro, NC. In residence at Scuppernong Books.

The Body Project
Experiment to form one creative body of Greensboro, NC's fractured artistic scene
Inspired by the problem of Greensboro's deeply fractured artistic scene, I drew from the bodily humors to curate the work of more than 60 Greensboro artists in the fields of music, theatre, film, poetry, and dance over three months, culminating in performance and art that transformed, for one night, a downtown studio space into a healthy and thriving artistic body. The project is documented here, including a process blog by the participants: https://thebodyproject2018.weebly.com. Through Storyhound Theatre and the UNC-Greensboro Art Truck. At the Greensboro Project Space.

How can the story of the pandemic be told when it never seems to end? “Listen” imagines not just the loss of sense and smell, but all the senses, until finally a sense of self, and a machine that might, maybe, bring her back.
